JOHN 3:16 ~ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Love is more than how it makes you feel, its actions too. I’ve come to understand more and more, the sacrifice that was made for you and I.

His love is like no other. His love is an agape love.

Agape = highest, sacrificial, and unconditional love

• A love that expects nothing in return.
• A selfless love.

God has shown his love to me like I’ve never seen or felt. In a season when I felt the most unloved, not because I wasn’t loved but because I was blinded about what real love looked like. I spent so long chasing after what I thought was love. The love I knew came with conditions, limitations, and for the most part always came with hurt. I’m writing of love in general because now I know that no one could love me like Jesus loves me. From my view, I didn’t want to show love because it felt like everyone would leave anyway and it hurt.

BUT GOD

He made made that ultimate sacrifice so that I (we) could have a chance at eternal life.

John 15:13  Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. 

He gave His command to love Him and love others as He loves, not just for me, but you too.

Matthew 22: 37-40 
37) Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. 38) This is the first and greatest commandment. 39) A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. 40) The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

This is what he did for me and He can do it for you too:

• He sent people that love Him so much, to love on me, in a way, I never knew.
• He sent people to hug on me, when I didn’t like to be hugged because it just felt like a trap.
• He sent people that would whisper in my ear, “You are not alone” at just the right time.
• He sent people that weren’t afraid to say “I love you” and show it.
• He sent people that would pray over me, when I began to lose focus and still prayed even it was about the same thing or things.
• He sent people that sing my name just to remind me how he uses people just to bring me joy,
• He sent people that would actually wipe my tears, when all I knew was to wipe them quickly before someone saw.

To be totally honest, all these things were foreign and didn’t make sense then but now they do, as I have come to experience the love of my Father (GOD).

I can see that as undeserving as I am:

• His love doesn’t fade.
• His love is unconditional.
• His love forgives.
• His love fills voids.
• His love redeems.
• His love heals.
• His love makes you new.

This is the love, I have always been chasing and never knew all I had to do was … STOP, BE STILL, and LET HIM LOVE ME LIKE ONLY HE COULD LOVE ME.

As I end to say, I don’t know what you’re feeling or going through but what I do know is that you did not come across this entry on accident. God wrote it in your story before you were even born just as He did for me. He wanted you to know too, that there is:

NO GREATER LOVE, THAN HIS!
