Don’t Rush the Wait

Waiting……No one really enjoys these moments to be honest.

We all have stories we can share or relate to, I can imagine. We pray and we fast, hoping that whatever it may be, that it not take too long. That new thing we been praying about often has us searching. Being honest we most often search for the shortest route, the fastest route, and even the easiest route, that we think no one could know or even think about. We want the path leading us to our new thing that will only have us endure the least battle or fight. BUT GOD…knows why or why not, how, and how long. We may not understand why HE is bringing us through a longer rougher route. It may seem like everything we been praying about was never even heard, but HE knows this is the route we need to build our faith and trust in HIM for what lies ahead. It may seem like we may have been praying and fasting for so long and have yet to see any evidence of any new thing. Whatever that new thing is that HE is holding and waiting for that right time…HIS time, is HIS to reveal. It may look hard, it may hurt some but “the wait” was never said to be easy, only that it would be worth it. It is worth it to be able to experience and see the Glory of God bring to life what you once thought was dead. We read in the bible of many that had to be in a season of waiting to receive their promises with most having to wait year after year and I can imagine a few are popping in your head now. They weren’t alone and neither are we, the same God that got them through is getting you through. Be confident, patient, strong, courageous, and stay focused and don’t rush the wait.

Psalm 27:13-14 - 13 Yet I am confident I will see the Lord's goodness while I am here in the land of the living. 14 Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.

  1. I needed to read this at this moment in my life… Crazy how you ask God for a sign & he sends it to u, the person giving you the sign may not even know they were meant to give this person this message.. Its true you can’t rush the wait & you can’t pick the easy or fast route it also means you have to put in some work..

  3. My Dear sister,
You have been such an Inspiration to myself and to many others as people start reading your blog’s. Thank you for sharing what God has given you to speak on. I do believe like you said that “WAITING” is one of the hard experiences known to mankind, simply because it requires us to not be in control. But like you said the same God that was with those who lived in his time, is the same God that is here for us now. “Clinging to the Vine”!

  4. Wow tia I have no words.. I know that my life style may not be Christian like or even good in some eyes, but your exactly right. As someone who has always been impatient I can truly say that I tend to get frustrated and give up when I don’t see results. I know that my faith is strong but when you have that on going relationship with God it’s more than just faith it’s Trust. Trusting him knowing that your dry season will be over knowing that he’s gonna take you from where you are to where you need to be. I love this so much I cannot wait to see more ❤️

    • Amen! We all fall short everyday but the point is that we always get back up and seek more of Christ to lead us back to where we need to be. Don’t give up! Thank you so much for reading and the great feed back. Already praying for my next post!
