ACTIVATE YOUR AMAZING FAITH

LUKE 7:1-10 When Jesus had finished saying all this to the people, he returned to Capernaum. At that time the highly valued slave of a Roman officer was sick and near death. When the officer heard about Jesus, he sent some respected Jewish elders to ask him to come and heal his slave. So they earnestly begged Jesus to help the man. “If anyone deserves your help, he does,” they said, “for he loves the Jewish people and even built a synagogue for us.” So Jesus went with them. But just before they arrived at the house, the officer sent some friends to say, “Lord, don’t trouble yourself by coming to my home, for I am not worthy of such an honor. I am not even worthy to come and meet you. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed. I know this because I am under the authority of my superior officers, and I have authority over my soldiers. I only need to say, ‘Go,’ and they go, or ‘Come,’ and they come. And if I say to my slaves, ‘Do this,’ they do it.” When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to the crowd that was following him, he said, “I tell you, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!” And when the officer’s friends returned to his house, they found the slave completely healed

As you begin to read this blog, I want to ask you:

What’s your faith looking like these days?

What’s your faith looking like as you are going through what seems like storm after storm, trial after trial, and struggle after struggle?

AND

Praise God if you’re in a season where all is going smooth and great but even in being blessed in the season of blessings: What does your faith look like and What are you doing with it?

What’s the person on the outside looking in, see? Because I guarantee you, they are looking and watching your every step and movements.

Are you spreading any type of faith at all to those around us and especially those that don’t know God and have seemed to have lost all hope?

READ Luke 7:1-10

o THE CENTURION:

o Asks Jesus to heal his servant but let me tell you somethings about the centurion.

o They lead about 100 men

o They carried an authority where most demanded a higher respect because of their position

o Yet this one didn’t feel worthy for Jesus to go to his home.

o They weren’t Christ followers

o This centurion was different

o He “HEARD” JESUS was coming and he sent Jewish elders to ask Jesus to heal his servant.

o The servant as very sick, He was near death

o Most probably wouldn’t care that a servant was sick or near death but this one did.

o He his faith was so strong and amazing that he genuinely believed that all he had to do was ask and if Jesus said it, it would be done.

o He wasn’t even a follower of Christ, but he still took that step of faith to ask. He even knew that Jesus didn’t even have to go to his house to heal him all he had to do was say it and it was done.

He stepped out in faith regardless of who he was, a gentile, because he cared so much for his servant. He was willing to go to the only one he knew could heal him. The faith he displayed, Jesus Described as AMAZING!!!

AMAZING FAITH! AMAZING FAITH!

Did you catch that? Jesus described the centurion’s faith as AMAZING! And that he hasn’t seen that kind of faith in all Israel.

With that I ask you:

What category of faith do you fall under?

Could you be so lucky or blessed that Jesus recognizes you as having amazing faith

Or

Unfortunate that not even Jesus sees your faith.

When God gave me this message, I was praying and all HE kept putting in my thoughts was to re-read a devotional he gave me from 2020. And I kept hearing: AMAZING FAITH, MELISSA! AMAZING FAITH, MELISSA! OVER AND OVER.

Then I just started talking to God and I was just telling him “God, amazing Faith is not me. Don’t you see how many times I have a break down. Don’t you see how many times I feel like quitting? “Well at least I feel like I do.

I am learning to BE STILL too during prayer time and talking to God.

God was trying to tell me:

Melissa, ACTIVATE your faith to have that amazing faith like that centurion. All I kept thinking was, WOW GOD that centurion believed when everything about his life was against or at least not normal for him to believe, yet he still had that amazing faith. Then I was thinking God this is rude to tell me like that…God are you allowed to be rude…lol but well it got my attention, so I received it…lol But anyways there I was crying. Not crying because of my situation or storm I was going through but because I knew it was time.

o Time to shift my faith!

o Time to activate my faith!

o Time to display my amazing faith!

It was time to activate the amazing faith to trust and believe that even id everything looked like it was destroyed and there was no hope, I need to walk believing that when God said it, it would be done. Amazing faith is believing despite what everything looks like to my natural eye if God gave me a promise, then I needed to walk in the promise as it has already been done.

Amazing Faith like the centurion knowing that as long as Jesus said it then he didn’t have to go to his house because he knew the power and authority Jesus carried.

My question is: Do we know the Power and Authority Jesus Carries? Do we have that amazing faith? But he said: Get up! Get up Melissa and trust me with that amazing faith. Even if the situation or storm looks beyond what I think can be repaired, when I activate that amazing faith, I will see that anything and everything God ever says will not come back void.

DO you know fear is the opposite of faith?

Fear takes away. It makes you run, hide, quit, and it can also cause you to start doing things your way.

I admit, I do that… I start to think. Well maybe I can just do this but after it fails, I realize, I got in the way again and now I delayed things.

I have to hear God tell me; “Did I say it was time to do something?

When we activate that amazing faith, you will wait however long and even through however hard or bad the situation looks because your amazing faith tells you God’s way is the best way.

Activated Amazing faith doesn’t make you run away but to run towards God.

Activated Amazing faith bring calmness even through the storm

Activated amazing faith brings you to trust and have hope, and to walk in victory, even though it looks like destruction, a total mess, or complete darkness.

So, I just really want to encourage you as you read this blog, is that whatever you are struggling with, and you feel like you’re loosing or even have lost hope, to know that God does hear your cries, prayers and praise.

And he wants to tell you like he told me: “GET UP! GET UP AND ACTTIVATE YOUR FAITH AND USE THAT AMAZING FAITH. Activate that amazing faith and claim that victory God already said is yours.”
